Pledge And Help Us Make Our Album
It’s time to make a new record. In three weeks we leave for Portland, OR to work with Steve Berlin and create a new Making Movies album. In order to make this possible we need your help. We’ve launched a Pledge Music campaign offering you the opportunity to come along for the journey of making our record.
Through Pledge music you can pre-order the record as well as purchase many other exclusives. Pledgers are then granted access to updates of our progress. This includes exclusive MP3′s of demos, b-sides, and exclusive video footage. As an independent and do-it-yourself band these pledges are crucial to enabling us to fund this album.
Also, a portion of the money raised through Pledge Music will go toward the music camp that we’ve started with non-profit organization Mattie Rhodes Center of Kansas City.

We have THREE big things to announce today!
First, we confirmed that Making Movies will be recording its sophomore album this May with Steve Berlin of Los Lobos. On top of being a great musician, Steve is an amazing Grammy winning producer who has worked with Ozomatli, Faith No More, John Lee Hooker and Gomez to name a few. The record will be recorded in Portland, OR where Steve lives.
Secondly, Making Movies will be hosting a Youth Music Camp this summer in the Historic Northeast neighborhood of Kansas City, MO. We have partnered up with our friends at the non-profit Mattie Rhodes Center, one of the oldest non-profits in the city. I’ve personally been working with the youth in that neighborhood for the last few years and saw a huge need for creative outlets.
That being said, we gotta start fundraising. The first fundraiser we are having is Making Movies Social Club February 16th at the Czar Bar. For more details check out the link HERE
Lastly we made a new video from clips we got on the road in 2011. Thank you Alicia Meneses, Orlando Matos, Travis Geary and George Garza for supplying us with some additional footage. Enjoy!
